L`Air de Nina Ricci

For Spring/Summer 2011, Nina Ricci came with the latest major fragrance named in simplicity L’Air, the 2011 reincarnated version of the Nina Ricci fragrance from the 1940’s  – L’Air du Temps which new version has been released again in 2005.

The campaign ad 2011 is very much inspired from the old French romantic Godard’s film  “À bout de souffle” (Breathless) from the 60’s.  The music in the video is Velvet Underground’s song “After Hours”.

The scent is prudently multifaceted composition between chameleons-like with the incredible presence as a perfume. The L’Air Eau de Parfum was created by Louise Turner and Michel Girard released the notes scent of hyacinth, lychee, lilac, aldehydes, rose and warm skin notes heated up by the velvety amber. The fresh notes are from freesia, patchouli, honeysuckle, violet leaves/magnolia, jasmine sambac, and Bulgarian rose/palisander wood.
The crystal bottle is reminiscent of L’Air du Temps, with two intertwining doves as the cap.
Laura Mattei de Pommereau, group manager for Nina Ricci at Puig Beauty and Fashion Group commented: “We wanted to rewrite in 2011 the story of L’Air du Temps’ values — peace, love and freedom. We wanted to create a product that can exist alongside L’Air du Temps but can seduce a new generation of women who didn’t necessarily know [it].”

Dolce & Gabbana - The Animalier Make Up Collection

Following the release of Violent Lips’ zebra- or cheetah-print temporary lip tattoos and the growing popularity of leopard-print eye makeup, the italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana are jumping on the bandwagon and launches its latest make up addition, an exclusive limited-edition bronzing powder The Animalier inspired by their famed feline patterns, the range, which centers around a leopard-print bronzer, launches at the end of May.
Scroll down to see the advertising video and what Dolce & Gabbana key collaborator Pat McGrath and Domenico Dolce have to say about the upcoming makeup line:

“The Animalier collection captures the narrative of the house from its birth to beyond, interpreting the fashion DNA of the leopard print with the right beauty vibe meant the full-on Dolce & Gabbana treatment: brazen and really powerful yet soft and feminine. The Animalier bronzer, the heart of the collection, is absolutely brilliant – so gorgeous and it’s foolproof.”
“What I especially love about the Animalier collection is that it is so versatile – there are no rules because the palette is so compatible. Whether I choose to emphasize the eyes – smokey eyes are always so fierce, so sexy – or the warm luscious red lips, the look is ultimately pulled together by the fantastic Animalier Bronzer. The bronzer has such an amazing texture – it feels so good – and it creates this fabulous sun-polished glow that is remarkably sensual and that encapsulates what summer means – passion, romance and shedding all inhibitions!”
“The Animalier reflects glamour like nothing else,” says Stefano Gabbana, “The feline sensuality, the refined yet decadent elegance… it represents so perfectly the inner desires and intimate passions of the Dolce & Gabbana woman. Like the lace and the rose, it is a seminal symbol of our past, present and future. It was very important to make it a part of our cosmetic collection; without it the collection would not be complete. A bronzer is what spring and summer are about and there is no bronzer quite like the Animalier. ”
”Capturing the essence of Animalier as this single beauty product was a magical metamorphosis – and in the process, it became an accessory as crucial as one of the Animalier bags.”

Ailleurs Vuitton Summer Collection 2011

Louis Vuitton goes footloose and fancy-free for the summer months with the light-hearted Ailleurs collection.

"Ailleurs", French for 'somewhere else' is the trendy new summer 2011 line by Louis Vuitton. The collection is vibrant, funky, chic and casual and makes you want to hit the beach as soon as possible.

The line is perfect for a tropical vacation along the shores. It features exotic and vivid accessories, sassy dresses and sexy swimsuits.

The collection is made in collaboration with British artist Pippa Cunningham, who has also designed the Louis Vuitton Cruise Collection 2008 "St. Tropez Galliera".

Cunningham has painted every picture and then it was given a watercolor effect by the process of silk screening.

The main attraction of this line are the canvas tote bags which come in two sizes; 'City' and 'Beach', and three amazing prints  'Promenade' (Ville), 'Escale' (Beach) and 'Aventure' (Jungle).

Promenade conjures up the glamour of the Riviera, of leisurely strolls and intriguing encounters in the shade of tall palm trees. Escale captures the eternal allure of white sand, blue sea and lazy hours spent reading under a brightly coloured beach umbrella. Aventure illustrates the distinctly more exotic appeal of a tropical forest, where monkeys swing playfully amid luxuriant foliage.

The tote prices are US$1430 for the PM, and US$1800 for the GM

Balancing the naïve feel of the prints is the sophisticated detailing of the totes, with adjustable handles in grained calf leather, gold metal hardware and the iconic Louis Vuitton Inventeur plaque. Each comes in two sizes – the smaller, PM (15.7″ x 11″ x 6.5″) ideal for the city, the larger, GM (20.4″ x 13.4″ x 8.6″) perfect for the beach.

The Key Holder price is of US$330

These adorable metal/resin key holders are the perfect accessories to your Ailleurs totes. They come in three variations which features various vivid & colorful motifs (in addition to a Monogram Flower and Louis Vuitton medal) like a cute parrot for the Jungle, a palm tree for the City, and a beach hut for the Beach.

Completing the Ailleurs collection, summer sandals contrast the relaxed feel of chunky cork wedges with the elegance of slender straps in a palette of green or blue, while the Aventure print stars on the essentials of a summer wardrobe: a sexy two-piece swimsuit, a sequin-embroidered T- shirt and a strapless dress in cotton and silk – perfect for sashaying.

The price for the Pareo is US$490

Gloss d’Armani

More than a mere gloss, Gloss d’Armani is concentrated high-definition color, fusing shine, comfort and lasting hold. Giorgio Armani’s color expertise takes a three-dimensional form.
A dress code with 18 captivating color variations: Nude beige, at the heart of Armani’s color DNA, is expressed in luminous half-tones, draping the lips in a sheer chiffon-like veil. From rosewood to raspberry, desaturated pinks add an extra dose of chic to your style. Like moiré silks, the plum shades combine shine and depth of color. An unexpected red shakes things up: Rouge 400, the incendiary signature Rouge d’Armani shade, now in a sheer version for an astonishing, explosive effect. Infused with light, the color melts into a curved, feminine design that echoes Rouge d’Armani’s aesthetic; a couture silhouette in a translucent case with a black lacquer top.
The exclusive Color-Fil Shine technology, allows the texture of Gloss d’Armani to be compared to a weave that gently and lastingly adorns the lips. The secret ingredient: the Color Bond Polymer, already found at the heart of Rouge d’Armani, has the ability to form a supple mesh that traps pigments and pearlescent particles. Thanks to its translucent formula base, the texture gives full expression to color. Mirror oils increase its shine while silicon oil leaves it silky smooth and non-sticky.

The comfortable, stay-fast color is like a second skin that remains true for eight hours without fading or migrating. Dress your lips with Gloss d’Armani.
Gloss d’Armani’s velvet applicator is so precise that just a single gesture achieves a flawless result. Impeccably shaped, it hugs curves, beautifully enhances volume and defines contours…instantly and effortlessly, with an expert touch.

Gloss d’Armani is available starting July 2011 in 18 shades, for the price of $28.
